Unanswered: Table size difference
Want to know the reason why my table is taking different size on different platform DB.
SOURCE: AIX v9 DB2 10.5 ESE
TARGET: RHEL 5 DB2 10.1 WSE
Table : Total records = 6790
Size (after a reorg and than runstats) on platform 1 = 214.01 MB.
Exported the table to DEL ---> Loaded to target system (all rows successful) ----> done reorg and runstats on target .
Size in target platform= 175.08 MB
Table DDL, datatype, storage (32KB TBSP) all are same.
Can any one suggest why it is so ?
Thanks in advance
Was the source compressed? Sometimes this is not enabled on legacy systems as they were upgraded from an old version. I believe on new tables under 10.1 they are automatically compressed.
Any way to check in catalog that the table is compressed as you mentioned ?
