    db2 vs microsoft sql
    Differences
    1. SQL server is basically for Windows environment, db2 is universal it works on Linux windows and windows.
    2. DB2 uses HADR for high availability disaster recovery and SQL server uses log shipping.
    3. Both have quite different architecture

    Similarities :
    1. Both are RDBMS
    2. Both use replication.

I am from db2 dba side so sql server dbas can correct me if I am wrong.
