Post Unanswered: Unexpected growth of logfiles

    Hi Team,
I have database on which only select operations & update(no rows are found to update) operations are going tables.

    UPDATE TAB1 SET ABC = 'N' WHERE XYZ = 'Y'
No rows are found to update.

why the log files are growing enormously, eve though there is no rows are update?

what do you mean with : why the log files are growing enormously
logfiles have a predefined size and never grow..
number of primary logfiles is also defined and fix
