Question Unanswered: Display Report from record source after changing row to columns with Grouping

    Hi,

I'm having difficulty in querying and showing a report.

I have a table that looks like this

    ID, SeqNo, RepName, RepColor
    1, 1, John , Green
    2, 1, Doe , Green
    3, 2, Johnny , Yellow
    4, 2, Baggins, Amber
    5, 3, Richard, Red

    What I want to do:

    SeqNo: 1

    Desc,Instance 1,Instance 2
    RepName,John,Doe
    RepColor,Green,Green

    SeqNo: 2

    Desc, Instance 1, Instance 2
    RepName, Johnny, Baggins
    RepColor, Yellow, Amber

    SeqNo: 3

    Desc, Instance 1, Instance 2
    RepName, Richard
    RepColor, Red

    Where I left:

    SeqNo: 1

    No, RepName, RepColor
    1, John, Green
    2, Doe, Green

    SeqNo: 2

    No, RepName, RepColor
    1, Johnny, Yellow
    2, Baggins, Amber

    SeqNo: 3

    No, RepName, RepColor
    1, Richard, Red

I don't know the right keyword to be able to find a match should this have been resolved in some other part of the forum.

I just wanted to know if what i want to do is feasible and how.

    Thanks,
    Mitch

    in GROUPING /SORTING
add the SEQ# as a group
turn ON header and footer (visible)
the gap in the report will space apart the differnt SEQ batches

    Thanks,

But, how do i query the John and Doe to appear in one row two columns? they are currently in the same column in the table.

if i'd put it in the detail section, repeater would display it vertically.

    i.e.,
    SeqNo: 1

    RepName John
    RepColor Green

    RepName Doe
    RepColor Green

    what i'm aiming is

    RepName | John | Doe
    RepColor | Green | Green

    Thanks,
    Mitch
