    Unanswered: max connections limit

    Hello all,

Version 10.1 WSE on RHEL 6

How to find out max connections configured for DB and DBM ?

There is no MAXAGENTS dbm parameter..

db2 get db cfg | grep -i MAXAPPLS
Max number of active applications (MAXAPPLS) = AUTOMATIC(373)

db2 get dbm cfg | grep -i max
Max number of concurrently active databases (NUMDB) = 32
Max requester I/O block size (bytes) (RQRIOBLK) = 32767
Max number of coordinating agents (MAX_COORDAGENTS) = AUTOMATIC(200)
Max number of client connections (MAX_CONNECTIONS) = AUTOMATIC(MAX_COORDAGENTS)
Number of pooled fenced processes (FENCED_POOL) = AUTOMATIC(MAX_COORDAGENTS)
    SPM resync agent limit (SPM_MAX_RESYNC) = 20
Maximum query degree of parallelism (MAX_QUERYDEGREE) = ANY

    thanks

MAX_CONNECTIONS is set to AUTOMATIC. What is the issue?

    Hi Andy,

It is a testing system so don't bother about configuration, just curious to know which params guide us about the max connections when MAXAGENTS dbm parameter is not there ?

    thanks

    Hi,

    database wide level: MAX_CONNECTIONS
    instance wide level: MAXAPPLS

MAXAGENTS is deprecated since DB2 9.5 and you shouldn't use it anymore.
    Regards,
    Mark.
