Unanswered: subform can't be found because it was deleted

I'm getting an error that reads: Microsoft Access can't find the field 'Grading Subform' referred to in your expression. I deleted the subform after realizing that I didn't want it after all. This error comes up every time I am looking for data in main form. How can I get rid of error?

In the main form, is there a subform box? delete this too.
    or
is there a textbox that has a formula that calls the subform?

There is not. I have deleted the Table with the info for the subform and the subfrom box in Main Form. I can't find anything relating to the subform

there cold be corruption of the db
try to compile the code module, fix any errors reported
try a compact & repair ON A COPY of the db, see if that clears the fault

m,ake certain there is no code or queries referring to the form anywhere in the project
I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton
