Unanswered: Append to SQL linked table /Network Access Interuption

I'm appending table records from a 2010 Access to an SQL 2008 back end table. The SQL table I'm appending to appears as a linked table in the Access table list. There are 8,000 records being appended. It takes forever like 15- 20 minutes and sometimes I'll get "Your Network Access was interrupted, close the database and re-open" message. I've seen other posts regarding Network Access interruption and that Access is very susceptible to it. Any ideas as to how to make this work faster or better?

You could try using a pass-through query and append row by row. From what you describe it should not take more time than it does now.
    Have a nice day!
