Unanswered: SQL1770N Takeover HADR cannot complete. Reason code = "10".

I/m not able to take over HADR on my standby database. I'm using db29.5 fp8 on Aix.
We have not configured cluster but I find the following entries in the logs.

Seems that DB2 thinks that you use a cluster manager.

    1. Don't you really have any cluster manager configured for these primary and standby DB2 instances (like powerHA, TSA)?
    2. What's the value of your instance parameter CLUSTER_MGR on both primary and standby?
    3. Does the following file exist on both primary and standby?
    ~db2admin/sqllib/cfg/db2ha.sys

    Mark,

    To answer your question,
    1. No We dont have a cluster manager configured. As the matter of fact I performed a switch of roles where I made the secondary as primary, It was successful, but Im trying to switch the roles again & I'm not able to do it.

    2. Its not set.

    3. Yes, its present in both primary & secondary .

    That looks strange...
Try to rename those db2ha.sys files - they are not needed if you don't use any cluster manager.
    Regards,
    Mark.
