    Unanswered: Daily Log Usage Totals

I am not a SQL Server expert, normally work with a few other databases. We are running SQL Serer 2008 R2. I need to determine by day how much log space is being used. This is needed so I can size the file system appropriately to handle an outage of our backup system. The goal would be to have the log file system large enough to handle 24 hours worth of logs. Does anyone have an SQL statement to check this information? I have found statements for current log usage, but not one for daily total logs generated. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

“If one brings so much courage to this world the world has to kill them or break them, so of course it kills them. The world breaks every one and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry.” Earnest Hemingway, A Farewell To Arms.
