    Unanswered: number of db2sysc process

Are there any standard number of db2sysc processes running when we start an instance. Is there any standard number or is it dependent on the no.of applications that are currently executing? is it increase when increasing the number of trn logs?

    Thanks in advance

    This is db2-version specific .
    Post your db2-server version/fixpack and operating-system.
Modern versions of DB2 on Linux/Unix/Windows have one db2syscs process per instance-of-db2 - although that process is itself multi-threaded.

There's one db2sysc process per database partition, so there'd be only one such process per non-partitioned instance, but for a partitioned instance there will be as many processes as there are partitions defined on that particular server.
"It does not work" is not a valid problem statement.
