    Question Unanswered: Run an Excel module automatically?

    Hi all,

    Is there any way that you know in which you can force windows to run a module stored within a excel file?

    Essentially I need a sequence of modules within the excel sheet to run as soon as possible (when the output csv file has been produced). I have a .bat that is running every 15 minutes to check if a file exists. If it finds a file then I want it to open the excel file and run my modules...

    Can anyone offer a suggestion as to how to do this?

    Many thanks,

    Christy

    Access VBA might be better suited (you can "compile" an app in Access, which you can't in Excel).
    What does your Excel code actually do?

    Code:
    Sub Auto_open()
    'put the code here
    'ie open the CSV file
    'work on it
    End Sub

    Sub Auto_Close()
    'will run when Closed
    End Sub
    hope this help

    See clear as mud
