    Unanswered: CPU Information about Database

    Hi,

I am using DB2 V9.5 fp8 on linux version (ESE Edition) and DB2 V9.7 fp 8 linux (different machine), I have a instance on each server under which 5 databases are present, during the high cpu load i want to check that which exactly database causing the high cpu.

As per top command it lists only the total cpu usage for db2sysc process for the instance, so how can I check the cpu usage for each database under a single instance ?

You can use the db2top command (which takes a command-line parameter to tell it which database to use). Refer to the online documentation for the details.

    Hi,

    Try this with db2 9.7:
    db2pd -edus interval=n top=m

There is no 'interval' clause in the 9.5 according to the docs. I don't have an access to 9.5 to check if such a clause was introduced in some 9.5 FP. Try to check it...
    Regards,
    Mark.
