Answered: Table Columns Keep Moving around

    Hi everyone, thanks for helping.

I have two tables. First table is called [FinalResult] and stores the last and final prospecting result and [Working] which is a table storing prospecting attempts. My intention is to use an SQL statement to move records from [Working] to [FinalResult]. The problem I am having is that for some reason, the columns in [Working] keep moving. Therefore when I try to manually copy cut and paste a record from [Working] into [FinalResult] - I made sure both tables were identical since I copied the structure from one to another there are problems because the columns move to the end for three fields in [Working] namely Fields called "Status", "Status Date" and Town. When I open the table [Working] after using the form to enter data, the field columns are placed at the end right of the table, not as the first two columns as I would like. The ID field is hidden on both tables.
Any idea why the columns keep moving to last on right of table and is there any way I can stop this from happening? Having the current problem will obviously cause errors using an SQL statement.

    many thanks,
    Darren

"You dont use copy/paste, you use an append query. Column position wont matter for a query.

build a macro that has 2 queries
Q1 an append query to put the data from tWorking to tFinal
Q2 a delete query to remove the record in tWorking."

use a query to insert data from one table into another
have a look at INSERT INTO
I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton
