Hi all,

I have problem with restore replication.

I have manually create switchback, On Standby server I used commmand pg_basebakup.

Replication connected.

Next I stopped Master server and I run pg_ctl promote Standby.I added few databases and tables.

I send pg_xlog to Master archive WAL from Standby.

In master directory cluster database I have created file recovery.conf

restore_command='cp /arch/wal/%f %p'
recovery_target_timeline='latest'

Running server, ok its great I see now databases and tables from created on Standby.
I would do so to Standby server again connect to Master server = replication.

But I have error on standby:

CEST FATAL: could not start WAL streaming: ERROR: requested starting point 0/E3000000 on timeline 3 is not in this server's history
DETAIL: This server's history forked from timeline 3 at 0/E3FFFC40.

File recovery.conf on the standby:
recovery_target_timeline = 'latest'
restore_command='cp /arch/wal/%f %p'
standby_mode = 'on'
primary_conninfo = 'host=11.000.22.10 port=5432 user=replicator password=secret'
trigger_file = '/tmp/postgresql.trigger'

I don't idea solution on this problem. Moreover I can't use pg_basebackup, because I'd like to solve this problem using WAL file transfer.
Please help.
