Answered: Views not displayed in view folder

    Hi
I have created a view in Pervasive but the view does not show in the view folder.
I also tried to recreate it and I get the message view already exists.
    Can some one help.
here is how the view was created.
    Code:
    CREATE VIEW vista as
    select "FIELD_NAME","MASK" FROM "ORDE_WB_MASK"
     WHERE "FIELD_NAME" = 'FileCreate'

"Do you have any other views defined?
If not, close all database connections, rename VIEW.DDF to VIEW.OLD, then recreate your view.
    That sometimes helps."

I will not read nor answer questions where the SQL code is messy and not formatted properly using [code] tags: http://www.dbforums.com/misc.php?do=bbcode#code

    A few questions:
    - What version of Pervasive are you using?
    - Can you execute the following statement in the PCC and does it return data? If so, what is returned?
    Code:
    select * from x$view
    - What is returned from the following query?
    Code:
    select * from x$file where xf$name = 'X$View'
-If you create a view in another database, like DEMODATA, does it display properly?

    thanks for your reply
    1- I'm using version 10.30.017
2- No I can not Execute "select * from x$view" from the database I want to create a view but I can from the demodata.
    3- When I execute select * from x$file where xf$name = 'X$View'
    I get a blank table with the following columns xf$id, Xf$Name,xf$Loc,xf$flags, xf$Reserved
4- If I create a View in Demodata DB it displays properly.
