Question Unanswered: v105fp1: can we ADD DBPARTITIONNUM on a seiral instance?

On v105fp1, I'm trying to ADD a node on a serial instance.. just wondering, can we do that? I've googled it and can't find anything on it..

db2 START DBM DBPARTITIONNUM 1 ADD DBPARTITIONNUM HOSTNAME host1 PORT 1 WITHOUT TABLESPACES

Will appreciate your response... thank you!

What you you mean by a 'serial instance' , that is not a term in use by DB2 on Linux/Unix/Windows platforms.

If you want to add a partition then: your db2 edition has to support this feature and your licence has to permit you to use it, and you must create the partitioned instance as per the IBM DB2 KnowledgeCentre documentation for your (unspecified) operating system platform.
