    Unanswered: Run sql statment for two or more database(Dbvisualizer) -Help

    Hi,

    I need some help.

    with DbVisualizer'm trying with a SQL statement to obtain data from multiple database (Informix), example:


    select *from database1@onlinetcp_server1:ipo tabela1, database2@onlinetcp_server2:ipo tabela2

    but appear the next error:

    12:10:50 [SELECT - 0 row(s), 0.000 secs] [Error Code: -908, SQL State: 08004] Attempt to connect to database server (onlinetcp_prd1) failed.
    ... 1 statement(s) executed, 0 row(s) affected, exec/fetch time: 0.000/0.000 sec [0 successful, 0 warnings, 1 errors]



    both data base are previously connected do not require passwords.

    Please can give advice or help

    I'm pretty sure the syntax is <DB name>@<servername>:<DB owner> (in single quotes).<tablename> so please give this a try assuming ipo is your DB owner. You need a period between the DB owner & the table name

    select * from database1@onlinetcp_server1:'ipo'.tabela1, database2@onlinetcp_server2:'ipo'.tabela2
