Unanswered: Cannot access sysibmadm.applications snapshot table

    Hi friends,

i am trying to get a count for table sysibmadm.applications but getting SQL1092N error which is related to authorizations.
i have sysmon authority and i was able to get a count before with same authority but i don't understand what went wrong this time.
The only thing different this time is that i have installed fixpack 8. i am using DB2 ver 9.7 fix pack 8 now.

My question is . Is this problem related to fix pack upgrade or something else?

    Thanks in advance..

    From docs:

One of the following authorizations is required:
    - SELECT privilege on the APPLICATIONS administrative view
    - CONTROL privilege on the APPLICATIONS administrative view
    - DATAACCESS authority
In addition, to access snapshot monitor data, one of the following authorities is also required:
    - SYSMON
    - SYSCTRL
    - SYSMAINT
    - SYSADM

    So, it's something else.

    Hi,

What did you get in the db2diag.log after this error?
What DB2 thinks on your authorizations?
    Code:
    SELECT *
    FROM TABLE(AUTH_LIST_AUTHORITIES_FOR_AUTHID(user,'U'))
    WHERE AUTHORITY like 'SYS%'
    Regards,
    Mark.
