    Unanswered: No row was updated. The data in row 1 was not committed. Error Source: .Net SqlClient

    Dear Member,
    I have issue on below error , When i tired to update a row of column in database. it appeared as below error.

    Error:
    No row was updated. The data in row 1 was not committed. Error Source: .Net SqlClient Data Provider.
    Error message timeout expired . the timeout elapesd prior

    Need your help on this.
    Appreciate your opinion and help

    String or Binary data would be truncated.
    That typically means you're trying to enter more data into a field that it can accept, e.g. 51 characters in to a varchar(50) field.

    I don't see anything in the original post or the screen shot included with it that makes a reference to "String or Binary data would be truncated." How did you come to that conclusion?

    For the original poster, this could be caused by the application having two connections to the data. One connection may be selecting data, while the other is doing the updating. The connection doing the selecting may be blocking the update. Check with your DBA to watch the processes to see what is taking the update so long.

    Dear all

    it resolved when increase server memory .
    Noticed , sql server and server environment running slow. Also when tried execute command it running slow .
    After increase server memory it looks good and can update a table smoothly .
    Im still monitor on sql server and
    Appreciate with your suggestion and advice .
