Unanswered: Quickbooks Data Access and QODBC

    Hi all,

QuickBooks Enterprise allows the downloading and installation of a tool called QODBC which will allow accessing QB data through ODBC. On installation, QODBC says that it has a 30-day full read/write capability, but it doesn't say what will operate after that 30-day period. Has anyone ever used that tool, and if so, what occurs after 30 days? I am interested only in reading QB data into other programs.

    Thanks in advance,

    HL

HL, you will have no issues as the QODBC driver included with QuickBooks Enterprise is read-only as long as you want to use it, but it does offer the additional write and server abilities during the 30 day trial should you wish to test it.

The Read Only Desktop edition of QODBC is INCLUDED with QuickBooks Enterprise Edition. You just need to install QODBC latest version (no CDKey needed) and it will run as an evaluation version giving features such as Read/Write, QRemote and server edition to test. After 30 days if the driver has not been upgraded to one of the paid versions it will revert to the Read Only Edition ( if QuickBooks Enterprise is installed).
