    Unanswered: Help / Guide For Windows / SQL Fail Over Clustering

    I'm learning how to configure SQL Server replication between x2 sites with Windows Fail Over Clustering.

    Site1 = ORL
    Site2 = LAS

    ORL has x2 nodes in the failover cluster which are both working fine. I've been able to fail over the cluster from node1 to node2 in ORL fine. SQL Server service fails over in the same site no issues, now my job is to configure the replication between both sites in an active/active configuration. I'm having a lot of confusion with locating documentation which I can logically follow on how to perform this task.

    Can someone please steer / point me in the right direction?

    If you are looking to geo-cluster so there are active nodes on each end of the telecom line, I don't think that is possible.

    If you are looking for cluster-to-cluster replication, I would suggest that you use SQL Server Availability Groups instead.

    In theory, theory and practice are identical. In practice, theory and practice are unrelated.
