Our company uses data from various states in the USA. Our data is managed in one central physical location, as it feeds data to our regional locations. It is quite a juggling act to keep information uniform, while characteristics of data differ from state to state. For instance, data requirements for Texas is different from New York, but do share common fields. When I think of de-centralizing data, I think how difficult it would be for end users to find the data.
Anyone have any suggestions on managing diverse information?
