Question Unanswered: Can a SQL be decompiled?

We have a SQL database and we don't have the source code. We need to change one of the rules for the database. Is it possible to decompile the database so that we can get the source code that way and then change this rule?

At least in SQL Server, the database itself can't be compiled. Code like user defined functions and stored procedures can be compiled and shrouded to make it difficult to read the code, but those are usually a very small part of the whole database.

Please describe the problems that you're having in more detail.

In theory, theory and practice are identical. In practice, theory and practice are unrelated.
