Answered: 2 Questions - Regarding Cursors in Stored Procedure & Dead-lock

    Hello All,

Below Questions might be basic but can someone help answer them?

    1. A Stored Procedure declares, opens and closes a Cursor. The cursor is a read only cursor. We have multiple users calling the same stored package simultaneously. How does it behave? Can the same cursor be opened multiple times simultaneously and the record fetched by each user is kept track of separately?
    2. I see deadlock messages in .diag logs and there are roll-backs because of deadlocks. Is there a way in which we can get the detailed logs about Queries in question when the Dead-lock occurs? Can someone please tell how can we get to know the Queries from the 2 application that are resulting in deadlock?

    Thanks & Regards,
    Dhiraj
