    Answered: Database Log backup failed with not found

    I am new to SQL. and am trying to backup and shrink a log file after a weekly purge and load. On a Db with 32 million records we delete amount 4 mill records and add a new 4 mill. My logs are growing to twice the Db size quickly. I need to get this under control as my data space is only 220g with over half of that used and only 2/3's of the data loaded.

    /*------------------------
    USE FULF_TBO_Tables
    GO

    CHECKPOINT;
    BACKUP LOG FULF_TBO_DB_log TO DISK = 'F:\DATA\Backup\FULF_TBO_DB_log.bak'
    DBCC SHRINKFILE (FULF_TBO_DB_log, 250);

    ------------------------*/
    Msg 911, Level 16, State 10, Line 3
    Database 'FULF_TBO_DB_log' does not exist. Make sure that the name is entered correctly.
    Msg 3013, Level 16, State 1, Line 3
    BACKUP LOG is terminating abnormally.

    (1 row(s) affected)
    DBCC execution completed. If DBCC printed error messages, contact your system administrator.

    "Backup log takes the database name, not the filename, so try
    Code:
    CHECKPOINT;
    BACKUP LOG FULF_TBO_DB TO DISK = 'F:\DATA\Backup\FULF_TBO_DB_log.bak'
    "
