How To Design Pricing Plan and Feature Storage

I am writing a website application that will use pricing plans which will have certain features... members that are subscribed to a certain pricing plan will only have access to certain features. I have many years of experience with website programming, however, I have never dealt with anything regarding payment processing and pricing plans. I am looking for a design that is easy to manage with PHP... in other words, it has to be efficient to determine whether or not a member has access to a certain feature. What DB designs do you guys use to store pricing plans and which features they have access to?

    Hi ShoeLace1291,

For modeling correctly a db (See example on this dbforums post here),

    1. build a conceptual data model (CDM). The Logical data model is very simple then to generate. With tools, the LDM is automatically built as well as the SQL script for creating the DB
    2. Use dedicated tools which build CDM not only LDM like :
      1. Power*AMC (excellent but expensive)
      2. JMERISE, excellent freeware here

And of course apply at least the 3 first Normal forms (NF).
