    Unanswered: Creating MySQL online database

I am a student at university and I am looking to create an online database that will enable users to perform searches on the database to extract data. Im hoping to link the database with a website containing files of data which the user can download. I was wondering if this is possible and how is the best way to go about doing it?

    Hello bd94,

This is the MS SQL Server forum, not the MySQL forum.
Your question has little to do with the capabilities of a database, more about web-programming. Any database will do. Another good and free alternative for a database is PostgreSQL.

Perhaps you should post your question on a Ruby on Rails, PHP, Django, ... forum.
    With kind regards . . . . . SQL Server 2000/2005/2012
