I have a requirement where I need to copy huge data from a DB2 table residing on one database system to another DB2 table on other database system . The tables have exactly the same layout , just have make the data available in second table as a part of migration project ( first table will not be in use after migration , so data needs to be copied)
We do not want to use unload/upload jobs here due to project constrains .
Writing a program to extract the data into a file also does not look like a good option as the data is huge ( millions of recs) .
Also having DB2 connect logic/disconnect logic in program seems to an expensive option.

What will be the best way to achieve this with minimum cost and efforts?
I've heard bout a concept called federation in DB2 similar to link in oracle database but not sure how to use it..
Any suggestions would be useful!
Thanks in advance
