    Unanswered: read only privileges to Windows Active Directory user

    Hi Gurus,

    In windows, how to restrict a active directory user to read permissions a the database.

    all authorization to DB2 are controlled by GRANT command or by adding the user to sysadmin dedicated group
    no default grant for users
    dba role can have also access to data

    Hi Guy,

    Thanks a lot for you prompt reply. i understand from the GRANT perspective. now how can i grant/revoke permissions for a user name like 'a-john' which the single and double quotes is not working in the syntax, can you please clarify.
