    Question Unanswered: import data text file

    Hello long time no see guys, I have a question we have this old program called Labwizard and it writes data to .log text file when you open the text file you see data like this

    !!!SHIPLEY ELECTROLESS COPPER@@@ELECTROLESS COPPER 3350-1###3350 A-1$$$ANAL%%%1.9180
    what I want ot do is import it into our database that has SQL Server 2008 as the engine and Truechem Database as the gui? how can I import without the symbols (@@@ and !!! and ##) is there some bulk insert format?

    that you

    Desiree

    INSERT INTO TABLE A

    SELECT REPLACE(REPLACE(REPLACE(Columnwithsymbols, '#', ''), '$', ''), '@', '')
    FROM TABLE B;

    Or you could use import wizard and write a query to manipulate the data when importing. Using the replace function. Just a thought.
