Online backup is not allowed because the database is not recoverable or a backup pending condition is in effect."
This probably means that you didn't really switched to the log archiving mode.
What's the output of the latest command (mydb - the name of your database)?
    Code:
    db2 connect to mydb
db2 get db cfg | grep LOGARCHM

    This means that if you:
    - didn't take offline backup immediately after switching to the log archiving mode, then you will loose all database changes after such a switching in case of subsequent failure. You will be able to restore the database from some previous offline backup only if you have it.
    - didn't take a tablespace backup after "nonrecoverable/copy no" load, then your table will be placed in a drop pending state upon rollforward through such an operation.

    Hello,

Backup pending state doesn't mean that you need "backup recovery". This means that you are strongly suggested to take a backup of entire database or some tablespaces after certain operation in the database.
You can avoid taking this backup with db2dart utility, but you should know about consequences - you will not be able to rollforward through the operation placed the database in such a state.
