    Unanswered: hadr check

    using DB2 ESE on linux platform 10.5.7
    using hadr between databases
    using sql replication on primary machine
    I was not aware of the db2set setting to override the copy no option to copy yes
    we had problems when using full refresh with sql replication because asnload used nonrecoverable and blocknotlogged could not be activated
    using this new setting resolved our problem
    now we found standby databases that are not usable after takeover, because some tables have been flagged as unavailable
    we discovered this with db2dart as no status in any catalog table indicated this
    The question would be : is there any easy tool to compare the status of standby db to primary db without db2dart nor without activating ROS ?
    how can we be sure the standby db will be usable the day we execute takeover ?
    any hint/idea ?

    Check for the ADM5571W messages in the standby's db2diad.log.

    what about if load has been executed some time ago - db2diag is not available anymore...diaglog full... -
    is there another possibility to check without relying on diaglog - which is not reliable

    I don't know any other ways to check it.
    As for db2diag.log - I'd suggest you to schedule the following call periodically (optionally with -t key if you don't want to get the same messages multiple times).
    db2diag -e ADM5571W
