Unanswered: An open source project using PostgreSQL, what do you guys think?

I have just came across this backend-as-a-service solution, called Skygear, which is similar to firebase and parse, and find out that they are using PostgreSQL as their database structure. I find this particular interesting given that firebase from google and parse from Facebook both uses NOSQL as their database.

Is there really an advantage for SQL database over NOSQL database?

NoSQL isn't the answer to all problems. And neither are relational databases.

If the people behind skygear think a relational database is a good fit for the data they are storing, then Postgres is the best choice between the free (open source) databases.
I will not read nor answer questions where the SQL code is messy and not formatted properly using [code] tags: http://www.dbforums.com/misc.php?do=bbcode#code

What I think is that you should probably be more honest anout your involvement with skygear
I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton
