Unanswered: Macro to Copy Record Field content to another Table Recod

I'm not an expirienced Access user, but I've contrusted a database that's used for scheduling production equipment and employees.

The database has 3 main parts
    1) Training Records for all employees
    2) All the lines and what their producing for the week
    3) All the personnel required to run the lines

The issue i'm having is getting information from one subform to the next.

The main form allows me to select positions by PositionID (al-1 mech, al-1 op,...)
Then subform1 is a table that filters all qualified employees eligible for the position like an active query.
Once a record in subform1 is selected (which is a person's name), I'd like to click a button and have that field data (employee's name) paste into subform2 in the same positionID under the A Crew Field.

Can someone help me with the VBA code to do this? If possible, please explain the code because I'd like to learn to use it for later and not have to ask.

Thanks very much for taking the time to read this and help.

    You don't need vb.
    Anything involving data,use a query.
Add records with an append query.
Change records with an update query.
