Unanswered: db2pd -dbptnmem vs db2pd -memset

    hi

db2pd -dbptnmem and db2pd -memset for DBMS gives different output. ideally it shld be same. Normally we use db2pd -dbptnmem above V 9.7

Was trying to check for V 9.1 using db2pd -memsets.

    in V10.6

    db2pd -dbptnmem o/p for DBMS

    quick and dirty

    Hi mpaul,

    db2pd -dbptnmem

    HWM usage
The high water mark (HWM) or peak memory usage that has been consumed since the activation of the database partition (when the db2start command was run).

    -memsets

    HWM(Kb)
Maximum memory ever allocated to memory pools.

    Good luck

    thanks

So using db2pd -memsets --- HWM can we consider its peak memory usage -- coz db2 V 9.1 don't have db2pd -dbptnmem and MON_get functions

    db2mkrk -i -d --- works, but wanted to know with db2pd
