Unanswered: The database cannot be opened because the VBA project contained in it cannot be read

So here is my issue: a new client has an existing working Access system. The tables are in files on the server (Server 2003) and the front end is on 2 clients (Windows XP, Access 2007). I have copied both and placed then on PC's in my own workshop, even renaming one to replicate their server name. When I try to open the client file I get "The database cannot be opened because the VBA project contained in it cannot be read". I have returned to site where it is still working quite happily and taken a second copy in case that one was corrupted (I made sure everyone was logged out first), but still the same.

    Can anybody help, please?

    TIA
    Caspar

Occasionally these databases corrupt. All code is lost.
I never found a cause. It happens.
ALWAYS have up to date backups.

BUT the live system STILL works. Why can't I take a copy of it and open it elsewhere, that's the real question?

    Many thanks,
    Caspar
