Answered: How to FETCH INTO values in dynamics SQL

    Hello,

My name is Xabier and first of all I would like to give thanks to all the participants of this forum for reading this post.

I have a problem that I can not solve and I was wondering if you could help me. I have to execute a dynamic query in COBOL, after selecting all the fields of a table I know how to obtain the column names using SYSCOLUMNS, but I do not know can I do the FETCH INTO because the number and the type of the columns are diferent for each select and I have to declare the variables before.

    ¿Could someone help me please?

    Thanks in advance.

"you should have a DCLGEN for the tables that you would be querying and you can include that DCLGEN and use the host variables that are defined there."
