    Unanswered: Best way to manage similar data in multiple tables.

    I have tables for user_info, company_info, sub_company_info, venue_info

    The tables include similar fields for address1, addres2, city, state, zip, phone, url, email,

    Would it make sense to break out the similar fields into their own dedicated table - joined by the source tables like user, company, venue?

    Searches would be select all companies in this zip, or this city, or state

    I am concerned about scaling up to millions of records....

    I hope this is clear... thanks for any help and/or insights.

    It is not good idea to repeat the fields, just create another table like

    contact_info >> id, address1, addres2, city, state, zip, phone, url, email,

    While other tables will have contact info id:

    user_info >> contactid
    company_info >> contactid
    sub_company_info >> contactid
    venue_info >> contactid

    In this way you do not need to repeat the data.
