    Unanswered: Sybase to Oracle Data Migration

    Hi Friends,

    Could you please assist with a script to export all the tables' data of Sybase to csv file and import the same into Oracle db.

    Thanks.

    Read up on the Sybase bcp utility, and the Oracle sqlldr utility. The Sybase side I can mostly help with:
    Code:
    select 'bcp ' + db_name() + '..' + name + ' out ' + name + '.dat /S [your sybase server name here] /U [username] /P [password] /c /t"," /r\n'
    from sys.objects
    where type = 'U'
    It's been a long time since I played with Sybase, so you will very likely need to correct a few mistakes there.

    For the Oracle side, here is the link for sqlldr You should be able to get a delimited character file imported with this.

    SQL Developer (a free GUI tool, developed by Oracle) might assist. Have a look at Migrating a Sybase Database to Oracle Database 11g for some more info.
