    Unanswered: Reminders

    Hi guys,

I am a Health, Safety & Training Manager for a Construction Company here in the UK. I have created a database using Microsoft access for our training records.

To make my training co-ordinators job a bit easier I want to add some reminders to the database so that when one of our employees qualifications are due to be re-newed we get a reminder 30 days before renewal is due. This will then give us 30 days to book the training course.

Can anyone advise of a nice easy and simple way for me to do this. I'm not good with code and I created this database using youtube videos and knowledge I got from school.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Ches

you dont need code, you want queries.

run a query against the training table to see the current expirations:

    select tTraining.*, tPersons.Name from tPersons,tTraining where tPersons.PersonID = tTraining.PersonID
    and DateDiff("d",Date,tTraining.ExpDate)<30

this query can be put in a listbox on a form to show whos training is about to expire.

What I do is create a Macro that Print out the Reminders

    then I call it

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\MSACCESS.exe" "C:\Screens\Whareroa H&S Ninja v3.accdb" /x Reminder

I have the batch file in my startup folder

you Could make it beater by emailing it.
    hope this help
