    Answered: Software alternatives

    Whenever I have open dBase III to read DBF files, it brings the whole system operation to a crawl. Forget about using a browser whenever that program is open; it slows everything down. So I am looking for some DBF opening alternatives..

    "DBF file format originated by Ashton-Tate, but is understood by Act!, Clipper,FoxPro, Arago, Wordtech, xBase, and similar database ordatabase-related products. DBF files can also be opened by Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, DBF Viewer Tool and others dbf viewers."
