I have a Windows desktop VB.2010 app that must be 32bit.

It needs to access a 64bit Excel file as a database. Attempts to use the ACE engine always fail with an 3706 error.

So I decided to read the Excel file with interop.excel which works with either 32 or 64 bit excel. I have created an internal DataTable variable with the excel data in it.

I do not want to change all the ADODB recordset coding to use the native VB DataTable functions, if possible.

Is there a way to use ADODB with a connection string to read the internal datatable? How would the connection string point to the interface DataTable variable?

If you know a way for my 32bit app to read access the 64 bit excel file that would get a great.
