Question Unanswered: Simple PL/SQL Block Error

    Simple PL/SQL Block Error: PLS-00103 ORA-06550

Logged in as sys/oracle as sysdba
    Operating System: Windows 2000 Pro

    BEGIN
    -- (any PL/SQL code)
    SHOW SGA
    END;

This Error seems common. Any Solutions?

SHOW is sqlplus command, SGA referes to the instance.

This doesn't matter. If I use NULL;, I'll recieve the same
results or any other lines of code between BEGIN..END;.

This problem doesn't occur in the database setup by the
Oracle 8i install. This problem only occurs in the database
that I setup. One might think that there maybe a problem
in my setup but I'm currently taking courses for the OCP DBA.
My instructure could not figure this one. I have the same problem
I my OCP DBA practice labs. My database setup is following the
the practice labs designed by Oracle. I'm not using the any GUI,
everything is done by command line.

From the Win2k Pro CMD, I type sqlplus. I modified the
windows registry to prevent my setup database from auto
starting. So in the glogin.sql I'v place the STARTUP PFILE
command to start the setup database. I staying away
    from the SQL*Plus application.
