Question Unanswered: Audit Trail of changes made in a Form - Acc97

I am creating a user form in Access 97. I need to be able to track record changes made in the form. I found an article (Q183792) on Microsoft's Knowledgebase that comes close to what I need. They provide the sample code that tracks the record changes and puts them in a memo field. That's great, but I need to track the changes in a separate table. I cannot add a field to the table I want to track the changes for. Any ideas? Please keep in mind that I am very familiar with Access, but i'm just a beginner with VBA. :-)

please refer to my reply to Paul035, he asked a similar question

I suggest to add a subform and link the child foreign key to the master table ID. These can be set in the subform properties. You could use VBA to pass variables to the subform, but I don't know what you are trying to do, so I shouldn't give an example at this time.

    Hope this helps.....
