    Unanswered: scheduling a job

    Hi,

We have a db job scheduled to run every 8 hours.

I need to reschedule it so that it run only once a day at 10pm.

    1) The syntax to do this is to run DBMS_JOB.Change(...) function only or to run DBMS_JOB.Next_Date follow by DBMS_JOB.Interval?

    2) Can I include time in the next_date?

    3) Is the job will start the first execution at the first "next_date"?
Does that means that I can submit the changes at anytime, and set the datetime to 10pm and interval to sysdate + 1? Will this really give me the correct timing?

    Thanks for any reply.

    Regards,
    ssgoh

    Set the next_date to trunc(sysdate)+46/24

    (46/24 is 1 day and 22 hours)
