With Db2, option "Not fenced" allows to execute stored procedure in DBMS ' address space.

Is it possible to do that with Oracle 9i ? Is an UDF writed in C, stored in a dll (Win 2000) can be executed in a not fenced mode ?

If not, how can we improve performances of UDF calls ?

In fact, I call a function for each line of given table, like in the following query :

select * from my_table where my_function(my_table.xxx)=1;

and performances are really worst than with a row by row fetch in a PL/SQL function...

Thank you
