Unanswered: Number of CDs in latest 8.1.7 Standard Edition?

    Hi,

I am currently distributing 8.1.6 along with my app. However, my app will be moving on to use JDK 1.3.1 in the next release and I think only JDBC for 8.1.7 supports JDK 1.3.1 (correct me if I am wrong on this). Before I start distributing 8.1.7, I would need to know how many CD's does 8.1.7 Standard Edition come in for both Windows and Solaris? If it comes in more than 1 CD, we will need to re-work our installer and installation process.

    Thanks.

    Hello:
Standard Edition 8.1.7 comes in one single CD for WinNT/2000 and on 2 CDs for SPARC Solaris (32-bit). In the CD pack I have for Solaris64 there are non CDs for Standard Edition 64 bit.

I'm not sure about JDBC: However if you mean using a thin client you only need to have classes11.zip or classes12.zip on the client side to connect to the db.
However I'm not too deep in Java, so probably I do not have clear the problem you tell.
