I have confugured Oracle LDAP/OID and in the ldap.ora file there is a configuration entry name DEFAULT_ADMIN_CONTEXT which gets set to your default administrative context. I created an entry for accessing another database. After creating the new entry, my DEFAULT_ADMIN_CONTEXT was over written to point to a new context that I created to access another database. The entry was like so:
DEFAULT_ADMIN_CONTEXT="dc=bc,dc=dba_mgmt,dc=com"
DIRECTORY_SERVERS = (bcdevoid:389:636)
DIRECTORY_SERVER_TYPE = OID

I created a new entry in OID for another database because I no longer want to use tnsnames.ora and will continue to use only LDAP. Is it necessary to create a new context for a DN? Perhaps in creating a new DN my Default_admin_context was overwritten. Any suggestions?
