Unanswered: Use one value from a subreport in another

    Greetings:

I have two unbound subreports in a main report. The main report is just a shell for these two subreports. The one subreport (sbrAbandonCallsImport) contains a calculated field (txtTotalAbandonedCalls7a8p). I want to show this same field value on the other subreport.

I have been dinking with the Expression Builder for some time now.

Any idea how I can make it show this value again?

THanks for your time on this!

    Susan

    Hi!

In the report you want the value, put in the control source property of your control:
    =[name of sub report].[reports]![calculated field]

    or

    =[name of sub report]![reports].[calculated field]

    or

    =[name of sub report]![reports]![calculated field]

The correct syntax appears to be:

    =[name of sub report].report![calculated field]

    or

    =[name of sub report].report.[calculated field]

Note that it is "report" singular, not "reports" and that the first field separator must be a period, not an exclamation point. The second field separator can be either a period or an exclamation point, your choice.
