Unanswered: Why is database Size Available shown as 0.71 MB inspite much Space available in disk.

I have a SQL 7.0 database whose size is 2.2 GB.
The database is set to increase automatically by 10 Percent.
I have a table in the database which has image stored in the image datatype.I can use the Select statement to retrieve the image data.
But not a single record is getting inserted or updated in the any of the tables.
    It's saying "Timeout Expired..."

In the database Properties Space Available Shown is .071 MB.Why is not the database increasing inspite of the free space available in the disk & also the option being set to increase the size automatically by 10 Percent.

    Please guide.

    Regards,
    PKS

There is a bug in v7 where non-logged operations don't increase the size of the database sometimes. They don't fail but just sit there waiting.
It happens with bcp so I guess it's non-logged things that cause the problem.
